How can I submit a FOIA request?
The district's Freedom of Information Act request form can be found below. Written requests not using the provided form should state that information is being sought under the Freedom of Information Act. In addition, please provide a brief description of the public records requested, being as specific as possible. While responses can be provided via e-mail, please provide a mailing address. All FOIA requests should be submitted to District FOIA Officer Adam Bussard at 1300 W. Sycamore St., Chillicothe, IL 61523 or via e-mail at: firstname.lastname@example.org
What happens after I submit a request?
The Illinois Freedom of Information Act requires agencies to respond within five business days of receipt of a request. A five-day extension is allowed with written notification to the requester.
If the requested records are available in electronic form, they can be mailed to the requestor free of charge. Paper copies can be made at a cost of $.05 per page. If the records exceed 50 pages, the requester will be informed of the duplication cost.
What are the costs for duplication?

Is there a process to appeal the FOIA officer's decisions?
In the event that part or all of a request is denied, requesters may appeal the denial to the President of the Board of Education. A written notice of appeal should be sent to:
